Exacto Knife Woes

I had a fairly serious incident with an exacto knife last week while cutting photos for my patterns. It's starting to heal now, but I haven't done any knitting and probably won't be able to for at least a few more days.

I did take some time to set up an online store for Black Sheep Bags though. So, if you have wanted to give one of my patterns a try but couldn't find a shop near you, you can now have them mailed directly to your mailbox! I ship them in photo mailers so that they won't get bent on the journey. And I go to the post office three times a week (because of my online rubber stamp store -- Stamping Online), so you will recieve your order quickly!

Hopefully I'll have some actual knitting to show you by next week.

That's bad news for a knit fiend. Take care and heal quickly!

Oh dear, I hope you are healing quickly. Sorry to hear about your accident.

Great news about the online shop. Just placed an order! :D

I'm sorry about your accident. I myself had an incident w/ an Exacto knife when I was in high school. I hope yours didn't result in the need for a tetinus(sp) shot. Mine did and that was just a nightmare. Heal quick! ~hugs~

I have a lot of nightmare stories about exacto wounds, the majority of them not mine thankfully. We'd always console ourselves during undergrad with the fact that it was a clean cut, and they heal beautifully. Here's to hoping yours does the same.

ooh, yay, online shop.
tiny suggestion, prices on the main page. the only way I can see the prices is to add them to my cart.

*ouch* I hope you'll be better again soon!

Ouch! Those things are darn sharp. I hope you heal quickly!

ohh..goodness. I hope you feel better soon...for a knitter that is a serious injury.

Hope the injury gets better soon. I had a run in with a rotary cutter once. (wasn't pretty).

Sorry about your injury. As a precaution against further such mishaps I suggest checking out the various Fiskars rotary paper trimmers. They are a much safer way to go, not to mention being easier to use to get square corners and straight lines. Hope you're feeling better!

I was also going to suggest maybe a paper cutter from a scrapbooking dept. Exactos are dangerous! Hope you're on the mend.

Sorry to hear of your exacto encounter...ouch! Hope it heals quickly and smoothly!

Just read a few entries back, especially the reading content. I "read" the book about theautistic teen. However, I read it on CD ("Thank you for being a Recorded Books reader.") and also found it intriging, gave some insight into the condition, and portrayed marvelously by the descriptions. Thanks for the reminder. If you like the adolescent perspective, you might try 'The Center of Everything', I forget the author's name. That is one drawback to listening, you aren't handling the book and seeing the title and author on each page and everytime you pick up the book!

Ouch! Sorry! I feel your pain - kitten sliced fingertip open yesterday and seriously impaired my knitting and typing progress!

I am so behind in reading...YAY for the online pattern ordering!!

Sorry to hear about your accident, hoping you are mended soon.

there great for cutters, I've been in love with exacto knifes for years....
