Apparently I finished the princess hat just in time because Maddie came out of her room this morning with an armful of hats and declared that it was silly hat day. She has informed me that the hat isn't finished because we need to find some sparkly fabric to attach to the top like princesses always have.
For this project I used Galway wool for felting for the first time ever and I think it turned out nicely. As you can see it is solid enough to stand up straight, although it felted a little more than I would have liked. I suppose with wearing it will stretch out a bit though.
This project was from New Knits on the Block by Vickie Howell and I have some fun news! Vickie is going to be a guest blogger on my blog in early December! I'll give you more info when I find out more details!

The hat is so cute! She looks adorable in it. I guess you're feeling a bit better huh?

So cute. Don't we all want a princess hat with sparkly fabric attached?

That hat would be perfect for a little girl I happen to know who loves to play dress up. And I agree, it must have a veil. I put that book on my wish list as soon as I saw it.
Glad to hear you are feeling better!

Love the hat!
I'm curious to know how you liked the ending of White Teeth....
