Really lovely. RingSurf in their continued effort to make my life more difficult has added a new "feature." They now take some sites out of the ring automatically and put them in a category called "sites of interest." Supposedly these sites do not load or don't have the correct code or something. It's not true though!!!! I just started checking these "sites of interest" that they removed from the ring and all but one of them loaded just fine and had the correct code. ARGH!
So if you have been removed from the ring and you meet the ring requirements, you may have been removed by RingSurf. I just hope that these same sites don't repeatedly get dumped into this category. Sigh.
I just read something about what could cause this on The Knitting Fiend: http://www.thedietdiary.com/blog/lucia/438

I've identified two possible issues causing the problem at with ring surfs automated system:
1) A blogs spam filter may think the 'bot they send around is a spam bot, and rejects the 'bot. The bot then reports the page "failed". (That happens at my site.
2) If the blogger uses a javascript automatic redirect for some reason, the bot gets unhappy when it's redirected. I also do this, and the bot becomes unhappy 1/2 the time. (I'm trying to fix this by redirecting in .htaccess instead of javascript. But, I need to read a bit. Sigh. . .)
