I love this chair.
Just over a week ago, we were at an estate sale and I saw a mid century modern chair priced at $85. Not a bad price considering what they go for retail or on eBay. However, I wasn't willing to pay that much, so I put in a 1/2 price bid and waited to see if I would get the call. I didn't.
Fast forward one week. Maddie and I head out for our weekly thrifting adventure and at one of the first stops, I see this chair. Mid century modern & in decent shape -- no price. I walk up to the guy I think is running the sale and ask, waiting to hear $40 or $50 and trying to decide what I'm willing to offer. Then he yells over to his wife and she says... wait for it... $2! Yes. $2.
The guy was so nice and even helped me shove it into the back of the Fit. Now it is mine and I love it.
We also found a Nintendo N64 for $2 that day. Maddie was excited because she has started collecting vintage video games and gaming systems. (Ask her about her extensive Nintendo GameBoy collection!) We've passed these systems up at anywhere from $20 - $50. It pays to be patient!
And if you thrift too, you can share your finds at Apron Thrift Girl or Southern Hospitality!
Heh. I have a Sega Genesis that she can have if she wants it... :-)

I love your garage sale postings. Please continue doing them. You often buy the same things I would buy. I love Fire King and old kitchen items.

Awesome! Can't beat that price. I bought my pair for $150 and felt like that was a bargain.

By the way I am in complete ENVY of the Griswold you found a while back and the pink Pyrex too, great finds! :)

Great chair. Great price. My Mom says she paid more than that for a similar chair (used) 30 years ago.

Really? REALLY? $2? WOW. I've never seen a chair go for that price (I've bought little teacup/saucer sets for that price.). That was awesome.
