We went to the beach this past week. It was a lazy vacation, where the biggest events were walks on the beach, eating lots of fresh seafood and some swimming.
There was a bit of sandcastle building, and shell collecting during our long walks on the beach. I miss it a little bit already, but I'm also very glad to be home.

My favorite kind of vacation - Lake Michigan near the UP? Our last beach vacation was in July in Bodega Bay (if that sounds familiar to you, it's where The Birds was filmed - several of the scenes were right near the house we rented). We also spent one long afternoon at Point Reyes & actually saw sea otter swimming on its' back about 100' out from the beach.
