The second half of September gives us a bit of a breather -- Summer is winding down, we're back to homeschooling and the craziness of October has not yet hit.
I'm taking some time to get ahead of the game. Heck, I even bought Maddie's Halloween costume already! I'm also trying to take some time to do activities that I enjoy, but have neglected becasue of the summer heat. I actually worked on my log cabin quilt yesterday and I'm hoping to pick up the knitting needles this evening.
Ah autumn, how I love you!
Very cute costume! I always provide the grands' costumes. I have them start to think about it in late August so that, if I have to make them, I have plenty of time. Last year & this year, they found costumes to buy (actually no more expensive than making them which seems to surprise some people). The boys ar both being knights (I thought they might when I sqaw them eying the shield & swords at Hobby Lobby when we visited in June) & the little girl is going to be Katara from Last Airbenders, a choice that made me heave a sigh of relief. I could not believe how "tarty" little girl costumes are - I mean we're talking 4 year olds.
